Bronze horse from the Lanzhou Museum (Gansu)

This magnificent bronze sculpture of a horse was discovered in 1969, in a tomb.
This bronze, approximately thirty centimeters high, was discovered in 1969 in the Wuwei region in the tomb of Letai,  Who contained  several  dozens  of  models  bronze  of  tanks  with  their  drivers  And  their  escorts,  of the  men  armed  of  spears  with their  frames  And  of the  horses  without  riders.

Wuwei is located northwest of Lanzhou, at the start of the Hexi corridor, which leads to the western regions.

Description
Statuettes of a flying horse (Eastern Han dynasty/later),
late 2nd-early 3rd century AD, therefore during the Later Han period.

Bronze 34.5 x 45 cm.
