Cyrus had a 14 m high terrace built, using a beautiful stone structure using a technique that appeared in the Greek cities of Asia Minor, such as Sardis. The craftsmen and architects following the victory over King Croesus came from this region.

Cyrus the Great probably planned to build a palace but it was not built. The remains found on the terrace are later (during the Seleucid period, then again at the beginning of the Islamic period).
